Kiffy becomes further angered into action upon hearing about the suicide of Amy; a single mother of three, whose name also appeared in the same advertisement.

Each chapter's title is likened to match the taste of an actual fruit based on the deep gut-wrenching feelings of shame and humiliation that coursed through her being. Tastes of Soursop, Lime, and others that are mentioned; and anyone indigenous to the Caribbean can conjure the taste and after taste of these fruits and the depths of each chapter written.
