MULLIN is the life story of Edward Mullin who brought the Mullin name to America. His family was uprooted from Northern Ireland by Oliver Cromwell and brought to England. His father could not find work in England so he moved his family to Alsace-Lorraine where he worked in a shipyard as a blacksmith. Edward became a cabin boy on a sailing ship when he was ten years old and later became a navigator. He was captured by pirates with whom he spent the next several years. He jumped ship in America and was immediately captured by Indians. He spent the next few years with two different tribes. He escaped and found his way to a small town where he became a blacksmith, married, and had seven children. Around the age of 70, he started a ferry line, which he and his wife operated for 17 years until their tragic demise in a tidal wave.
