Jermaine Dupri is a Grammy-winning producer, songwriter, artist, author, and record executive who launched his career as a dancer with Whodini before discovering Kris Kross and cowriting their 1992 breakout hit "Jump." As founder of So So Def Recordings, he helped shape the careers of artists including Kris Kross, Bow Wow, TLC, Usher, and Xscape, and has written or produced major hits for Mariah Carey, Usher, Jay-Z, Destiny's Child, Da Brat, and others. Dupri is the recipient of the ASCAP Golden Note Award, Billboard's Otis Redding Excellence Award, and is a Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee.
